It's no secret that Brompton folding bike riders are hearty folk, dead-set on pushing the boundaries of what their bikes can be and do. Brompton touring has unexpectedly emerged as a category of riding all it's own combining planes, trains, ferries, and of course pedaling down the wide-open road. The good folks at Brompton see all these ambitious adventures and set out to create a limited-edition bike that embodies the adventuring spirit of riders around the world. Enter the M6 Explore, your adventure mate for riding into the new decade.
What makes it different?
Well, the regular M6 is already our most popular folding model- combining a comfortable, neutral handlebar position with Brompton's ingenious 6-speed gearing system- making it the go-to ride for many tour riders. So they built off this rock-solid platform and added a few bits to let you take the bike even further. First, they geared down the whole drive train by 12% so you can whiz up even the nastiest of climbs. Then, they added a tour-friendly finishing kit including, fenders, softer compound grips, and Brook's legendary cambium saddle. Then you have to consider luggage right? Well, the Explore comes with a limited-edition 28L roll-top front bag for the bulk of your goods, and a matching saddle bag for tools and whatnot. To add a little icing they threw in a comprehensive spares kit including just about everything you could want on an epic adventure in-case of a roadside breakdown. Finally, to cap it all off they gave the Explore a mean hunter green and orange color scheme.
It's a truly unique bike for truly unique riders with a bit of a collector's bent.
Can I get one?
Given a worldwide fan-base and very limited supply, the M6 Explore is a bit of a collector's item, and the one we could get our hands on flew right off the floor! But if you're looking for the ultimate folding adventure machine, fear not. Our team has years of experience outfitting Bromptons for everything from the daily commute to a cross-country tour. Pick your configuration, pick your colors, and let us set you up for the long haul.
