We're proud to be the sole dealers of Brother Cycles' adventure framesets here in New Zealand. Brother Cycles are a British company based in Faversham, Kent and as the name implies, it was started by two brothers. They've been designing framesets for over 10 years now with a focus on the adventure, gravel and bikepacking sides of the cycling world. We carry three of their framesets in numbers which fluctuate depending on availability. Below we'll include a brief description of these three framesets and what sort of riding they suit, as well as links to their pages on our website where you can find out more about them.

Currently, we do not carry any of their pre-built bikes, so if you're keen on one of their frames, get in touch with us to discuss a custom build. 

The Big Bro 

The Big Bro is the ultimate adventure offering from Brother Cycles, designed with bikepacking in mind. This rigid mountain bike is able to fit 29 or 27.5+ inch tyres and has all the hardware you need to fit your racks, packs and snacks. This would be a perfect bike to build up if you're considering heading away for some extended off road adventures, such as the Tour Aotearoa. We're expecting these framesets in spring 2021, but for now you can have a look at them on our website here.

The Mehteh

The Mehteh is the big-wheeled, off-road drop bar offering from Brother Cycles. This bike is made for long gravel rides and weekend getaways, offering a fast and efficient cycling position that is capable on rough terrain. It can run 650b or 700c wheels, depending on how much cushion you want and where you will be riding. The frameset also comes with a strong Brother Cycles carbon fork to keep things lightweight, whilst still offering the ability to mount bottle cages up front. We have small, medium and large sizes available in store now, which you can view in person here at the bikery, or on our website here. 

The Kepler

The Kepler is Brother Cycles' answer for those of you looking for a bike that can do it all. It's as happy charging into a morning commute as it is at a weekend bikepacking adventure or an extended road tour. It's made with versatility in mind and is built to last. If you're new to the adventure cycling game and are not sure how much you'll be able to get away or whether you'll enjoy it, then the Kepler is a great bike to build up as it doubles as a very good town bike.
