Covid 19 Response - Alert level 2

During Covid Alert Level 2 all sections of our business will be open. 

We recognise people need a sensible, healthy and safe means of transport and we want to balance this with maintaining social distancing measures to avoid a relapse into level 3 or 4 lockdown. We will be limiting the number of people allowed in the store at any given time and we have a process for registering those who enter our store. The more we can do to help mitigate transmission now the sooner we can all return to hugs and high fives someday.

Here are some FAQ's to keep you up to date on how we are trading through alert level 2.

 

Is the Workshop open?

Yes it is.  Pre-booked appointments are preferred and can be made by using our online booking form HERE.  The workshop will be open for all repairs. You can find full details about our contactless workshop services and workshop bookings procedure HERE. All bikes should be dropped off to our store at 1 Marion St during business hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 3:00pm Saturday. We will not be open on Sundays.

We will be limiting access to 12 people maximum in the store and cafe at any given time.  We will be using the RIPPL app to register our guests and customers at the door. You can download this app to your phone. If you prefer not to download an app we will ask you to speak your full name and phone number into our dictaphone. These measures will store the date and time of your visit for contact tracing purposes and WILL NOT be used or shared for other purposes.

Is the shop open?

Yes it is. We encourage you to visit us during the week rather than weekend if possible to avoid too may people trying to enter our small store at the same time. You can choose from our range of bikes and accessories or enjoy a hot cup of coffee. We ask that you come purposefully so as to minimise the time in close contact. We also ask that you look with your eyes and not your hands. If there is something you would like to see or touch, please ask us first.

Is the cafe open?

Yes it is. The cafe is open for delicious Peoples coffee, counter snacks and toasted reuben sandwiches. We look forward to welcoming you back and just ask that you follow the signage and floor markings to ensure we keep our distance. We encourage you to bring your own keep cup or use our Again Again reusable cup system.

Can i take a test ride on a bike?

Yes you can. Test riding is important in making your final decision about which bike is right for you.  We can arrange a time for a test ride. We can also offer 24hr test rides of Cargo or Electric bikes.  We prefer to know when you will be coming and which bikes you'd lik eto try. This allows us to space out test rides and ensure bikes can be properly sanitised between riders.

What hours are you open?

7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday

9:00am to 3:00pm Saturday

Closed Sunday and Public Holidays

Our workshop will be repairing bikes between 7:30am to 5.30pm daily. We prefer if you can make an appointment for drop-off as this makes it easier to ensure social distancing measures can be managed. Please book HERE if you wish to make an appointment for the workshop.

Can you deliver to me?

Yes, we can deliver nationwide by courier and locally by bike. Just order online or get in touch by phone or email. Shipping is free for all products listed on our web store. There can be delivery costs for some items ordered that are not listed on our website.  

We can also ship bikes fully assembled nationwide. Just unpack and ride away, no assembly necessary. This is a particularly good option for those of you who wish to remain isolated but would like a means of exercise.  Get in touch for pricing on fully assembled deliveries.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and our customers is our priority. Here are the measures we are taking to mitigate risk from Covid 19 while still ensuring we can provide a living wage to our staff and reliable and safe transport for our customers.

  • Social distancing measures in store
  • Signage to create customer flow to minimise contact
  • Contactless payment options
  • No cash payments accepted
  • Social distancing measures between staff in line with government recommendations.
  • Thorough sanitising of touch points and surfaces
  • Thorough washing and sanitising of test ride bikes before and after each test ride.
  • Thorough daily general cleaning schedule including all outdoor handles and touch points.
