What it's built for:
The Boost E from Benno was built for bike lovers who want to fit all the functionality of a cargo bike into their day-to-day life. Its mid-tail design means you get heaps of cargo space out back with an extra heavy-duty rack, and if you want even more carrying capacity just add their sturdy, dedicated front rack. Perfect for families with just one child who wants to haul along the kiddo, work essentials, and the day's shopping. All that without the extra weight and size so common among most cargo bikes. What really sets the Boost apart though are the rider-friendly touches present throughout the build kit. Sturdy 24" wheels keep it rolling smooth, a refined cockpit keeps you comfortable even on longer rides, and of course, the venerable Bosch Performance motor provides plenty of power to zip you up even the steepest hills.
Why we love it:
Moreso than any other cargo bike on our floor the Boost really rides like a normal bike; it's no longer, heavier, or more unwieldy than any of our other ebikes and that really shows in the ride. With an upright riding position and refined finishes, you'll find this bike rides more like a beach cruiser than a dedicated cargo hauler. But the Boost is no slouch when it comes to cargo capacity either. Even though it's just a mid-tail there's plenty of room out back for a kid's seat and extra storage bags; then, if that's not enough Benno's sturdy front cargo tray sets a new bar for front cargo storage. Pair all that with a great suite of dedicated cargo bags from Benno and you have a bike that rides like a sporty cruiser and carries cargo like a proper workhorse.
Though we’re a bike shop that sells, builds and fixes bicycles, they’re really just the means to an end; albeit a beautifully designed means to an idyllic end. Our job most importantly is to encourage as many people as we can to get out and ride for transport and enjoyment. We'd love to make riding a bike as commonplace as your morning cup of coffee, which by the way is our other obsession.
