What it's built for:
The Load 75 is Riese & Müller’s full-suspension front-loading cargo bike built to carry more, further than any bike in history. Its ingenious design allows you to carry up to 200kg of payload while still appreciating the smooth-riding benefits of a full-suspension. The Load 75 is the full-sized version making it perfect for hauling three kids and all the day’s goods (for a more compact version check out the Load 60). Top it all off with an unbeatable Bosch Cargo Line motor and a bespoke build kit and you have arguably the world’s greatest cargo bike. This Vario version uses an R&M specific Enviolo infinite-shift internal-hub gearing system that provides a wide range with no conventional “gears”; the chain is then replaced with an ultra-low maintenance belt for hassle-free riding. The HS version upgrades to Bosch’s Performance Line Speed motor which increases maximum assisted speed to a zippy 45kph.
Why we love it:
Let’s back up for a second here. This is a full-suspension cargo bike, that’s crazy! Very few bicycles in the world are truly unique and the Load from R&M is one of them. It takes some seriously clever engineering to pull this off and the results show. This bike rides naturally, and smoothly even when fully laden and having your load fully suspended actually makes for a safer ride as well. This is the ideal front loader for a family on the move.
