Riese & Müller

Riese & Müller Multicharger GT Touring Mixte

What it's built for:

Riese &  Müller’s Multicharger is their long-tailed electric cargo bike built for hauling two kids and supplies besides, this bicycle is ready to help you make more trips by two wheels than ever. With a cargo capacity of 65 kg the Multicharger can carry it all while still riding naturally, plus a huge suite of cargo accessories mean you can equip this bike to perfectly suit your family and the way you love to ride. If you’re looking for a premium long-tail cargo bike you need look no further. This Touring version uses a conventional derailleur system for a wide range of smooth-shifting gears with parts that can easily be serviced and replaced. This Mixte frame version uses a low-step design great for shorter riders or those with mobility issues, but it works great for riders of all shapes and sizes.

Why we love it:

We love a good long-tail and the Multicharger is no exception. A balanced ride and suspension fork make this bicycle exceptionally smooth even when fully loaded, while an option for a low-step ‘mixte’ frame makes getting on and off a breeze even with two kids in tow.

Though we’re a bike shop that sells, builds and fixes bicycles, they’re really just the means to an end; albeit a beautifully designed means to an idyllic end. Our job most importantly is to encourage as many people as we can to get out and ride for transport and enjoyment. We'd love to make riding a bike as commonplace as your morning cup of coffee, which by the way is our other obsession.

Bicycle Junction is situated at 1 Marion St, Te Aro, Wellington.
