The Jaunt EZ 2 is a powerful, affordable commuter e-bike built for New Zealand conditions, with a bit more in reserve for the weekend trail ride. It follows the same honest brief as the EZ 1: practical transport, useful equipment and comfort you’ll appreciate every day.

More battery, more flexibility

The Shimano EP600 motor delivers 85 Nm of torque and pedal assistance up to 45 km/h. Here it’s paired with a larger 630 Wh battery, giving you more energy on board for longer outings or a demanding commute. The battery is removable for charging indoors, and a colour Shimano display puts ride information and assistance controls within easy reach.

A low step-through frame makes mounting straightforward. The air-sprung fork smooths out rough surfaces, while the adjustable stem, comfort saddle and ergonomic grips help you find a comfortable riding position. A dropper seatpost lets you lower the saddle for easier footing at a stop, then raise it again for pedalling.

Commute all week, explore when you can

The nine-speed Shimano CUES LinkGlide drivetrain uses an 11–46T cassette, offering a lower climbing gear than the EZ 1. Maxxis Ikon tyres add a practical tread for mixed surfaces, with EXO puncture protection and tubeless-ready construction. It’s a useful setup for the ride to work, gravel paths and easy cycle trails.

Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, integrated lights, alloy mudguards, a mirror and a kickstand cover the everyday jobs. The MIK HD rear carrier is rated to 27 kg, and the rear light includes a brake-sensing function. Finished in Southern Mist, the EZ 2 puts its upgrades where they count: battery capacity, riding comfort and versatility.
