FAQ: How much weight can cargo bikes carry?

In general here are the various load capacities by type. Often your legs will hold the key to whether these loads are achievable. 100kg in the cargo bay takes a bit of power to wind up.

Utility Bike: Front rack - 10/15kg, Rear rack - Around 35kg.

Mid-tail: Front rack - Around 20kg, Rear rack - Around 65kg.

Longtail: 200kg total weight limit (including rider)

Front loader: 160 - 200kg total weight limit (including rider)
