What is the Cargo Bike Picnic?

Bring your cargo bikes, ebikes, bike trailers, kids seats, tag-alongs, box bikes and more. It's a chance to get to know the other parents you've seen pedaling 1, 2 or 3 kids around Wellington by bike.

Share stories, get kid-hauling life-hacks and get to know each other. It's also a chance for your family-bike-curious friends to come and see what it's all about. Share your favourite tips and tricks with those who are keen to know more, and enjoy a fun cruisey ride around the bays. BBQ from 1:30pm with plenty of activities for the kids. 

If you have friends interested in joining the cargo bike movement we’ll have cargo bikes available to try. Share the event and bring them along!

12 pm - Meet at X

1 pm - Cruisey ride to Y

1.30-3 pm - BBQ at Y

We usually host 3 cargo bike picnics around Wellington from January to March each year.
