What Ambassadors Actually Do

The role of an ambassador is simple: capture small moments from your riding life, tag @bicyclejunctionnz in stories and posts or send us a series of videos or images for us to create reels from.

That might be:

  • a few short phone videos from a ride
  • a series of photos from a ride
  • a quick voice note explaining the ride
  • a blog if writing is your thing

Think of things like:

  • the school run
  • your commute to work
  • picking up groceries
  • a weekend ride / adventure
  • loading kids into a cargo bike

You don’t need to edit anything or post anything yourself unless you want to. Just send the raw clips or photos and we’ll take care of the rest.

We’ll turn those moments into posts, reels, or the occasional blog to share the real story of cycling in Wellington. If we use your content, we say thanks with workshop labour credits (details below).

The Kind of Moments We Love

You don’t need to go out of your way to create content. The best moments are usually the small, everyday ones.

If you’re riding your bike and think “this is pretty great”, that’s probably a good moment to capture.

Family / Cargo

  • kids climbing into the bike
  • school runs
  • crazy things you've carried
  • the small adventures along the way

Commuting

  • life/transport hack - how owning an e-bike changes your life
  • riding through the city
  • work run
  • freedom you've gained

Everyday Wellington

  • riding along the waterfront
  • windy Wellington moments
  • parking right outside somewhere
  • quick trips that would normally be done by car
  • playing in the park

Little moments often tell the best stories.

Examples

How Your Content Becomes a Story

Most of the content we share will be short Reels built from the clips and photos you send through. You don’t need to think about the structure - we handle that part.

Sometimes we’ll ask for a short voice note about the ride. A few helpful prompts:

  • Why do you love your bike?
  • What’s the best part of your day?
  • What’s the best part for your family?
  • How do you use it?
  • What are the benefits?
  • What advice would you give someone thinking about getting an e-bike?
  • How has it changed your life?
  • How did you find the process at Bicycle Junction?

You don’t need to answer everything - even one or two answers is perfect.

The clips you send - riding, loading the bike, arriving somewhere - combined with your voice note bring the story to life.
