Built for the urban jungle. Classic looks with practical parts.
Ignacio had a pretty clear picture of this one: a green Brother Cycles Kepler, plenty of silver, drop bars and a bike for getting around Wellington. His much-loved Brooks saddle was coming along for the ride too.
The parts came together from all over. Velo Orange from the States, Nitto from Japan, and English brands Brooks and Brother Cycles. The wheels were built here in Wellington by Wheelworks, then we brought the whole lot together in the workshop.
There was a fair bit of hunting down parts and talking through the details. Nitto bars, stem and seatpost set the tone, with a polished Velo Orange crankset and pedals to match. Brown bar tape, the Brooks B17 and tan-wall tyres sit nicely against the green frame.
Underneath all that silver is a practical everyday build. Hope hubs, Shimano CUES shifting and hydraulic disc brakes, with a wide gear range for the hills. Panaracer GravelKing Slicks in 700 x 40C keep things rolling around town.
Stoked with how this one came together. Enjoy the ride, Ignacio!
