When friends dream up wild ideas for a bike build, we have only one answer: yes! Mike Casey is one of those humans who just does things differently—from running the world's first 100% electric cherry orchard in Central Otago to reimagining tough events to make them even tougher.

His latest plan? To complete the Kathmandu Coast to Coast's Longest Day, hauling all his gear—including bike and pack raft—the entire way. This means we needed to create a bike that’s compact and light enough to carry on his back while running, yet strong and secure enough to attach to a pack raft while navigating the Waimakariri River.

The solution? The Montague FIT—a folding frame paired with the lightest, high-performance components on the market. With carbon upgrades from Wheelworks, Ritchey, and FSA, we turned this bike into an elite machine. The result? A featherweight ride at just 9.4kg, built to take on any challenge Mike throws its way.
