Trail-ready. Adventure-approved. Built to go deep.
The Marin Pine Mountain 2 is the high-end, steel hardtail for riders chasing epic trails, multi-day bikepacking missions, or backcountry loops with full trail confidence and all-day comfort.
With its upgraded Series 3 CrMo steel frame, the Pine Mountain 2 is stiffer, snappier, and packed with clever gear mounts. It rolls on 29 x 2.6" tubeless tyres, features a RockShox FS 35 fork, and shifts clean with Shimano SLX 12-speed. A TranzX dropper post, Marin Bedroll bars, and 4-piston brakes round out the build for confident descending and packed-out trail performance.
This is a steel hardtail that rides like a dream, climbs like a goat, and takes a full load without flinching.

This bike isn’t just about specs—it’s about feel. Steel gives it that magic ride quality, while modern geometry and Boost spacing give you trail handling you can trust fully loaded. Want to ride out the back door, hit a couple of peaks, and camp overnight? The Pine Mountain 2 is built for it.
Steel’s not dead. It just got a dropper post, a 120mm fork, and one hell of an adventurous attitude.
The Pine Mountain 2 is your ride if you're looking to disappear into the bush with nothing but a bag, a map, and a very big grin.
Though we’re a bike shop that sells, builds and fixes bicycles, they’re really just the means to an end; albeit a beautifully designed means to an idyllic end. Our job most importantly is to encourage as many people as we can to get out and ride for transport and enjoyment. We'd love to make riding a bike as commonplace as your morning cup of coffee, which by the way is our other obsession.
