The ABUS Ultra Mini 410 is a compact keyed D-lock for riders who want better bike security without carrying a large or heavy lock. It is a good step up from a cable lock, especially for town bikes, commuter bikes and everyday rides where the bike is being locked for short to medium stops.
The smaller shackle makes it easier to carry and harder to leave loose space inside the lock, but it does mean you need to lock carefully. It works best when you can get the frame close to a proper bike rack or fixed locking point.

The hardened 12 mm shackle gives better protection than a cable lock, and the compact size keeps the setup tidy on the bike.
The shackle, body and key parts of the locking mechanism are made from hardened steel. The locking cylinder is designed to resist tampering, and the double-locking mechanism helps secure the shackle in the lock body.
The compact size is useful, but it does limit what you can lock around. If you often park at awkward poles, crowded racks or larger street furniture, a longer D-lock, folding lock or chain may be easier to use.
For higher-value bikes, e-bikes, cargo bikes or long parking periods, choose a higher-rated lock or use this as part of a two-lock setup. Lock the frame to something fixed, keep the bike in a visible place, and avoid leaving valuable bikes outside overnight where possible.
The ABUS Ultra Mini 410 is a solid compact D-lock for everyday bike parking. Choose it when you want better security than a cable lock in a small, easy-to-carry package. Choose something longer or higher-rated if your bike is valuable, your locking points are awkward, or you regularly park in higher-risk areas.
A good test ride is the most important factor when it comes to finding the right bike.
