Abus WBA60 Wall / Floor Anchor

Ask A Question x

The ABUS WBA60 Wall / Floor Anchor gives you a fixed point to lock your bike to at home, in a garage, shed, bike room or covered storage area. It is useful when there is no solid post, rack or ground anchor already available.

This is not a bike lock by itself. It is the anchor point your lock attaches to. Pair it with a strong chain, D-lock or folding lock to secure the bike frame to something fixed, rather than just locking the wheel or linking bikes together.

Why we like it

A good lock is only as useful as what you lock the bike to. In a garage or shed, there is often nothing strong enough in the right place. The WBA60 solves that by creating a dedicated anchor point for your bike lock.

Once installed, it gives you a fixed point for securing the bike frame with a chain, D-lock or folding lock. That is much better than leaving the bike freestanding, or only locking wheels together.

It is a simple upgrade for home security, especially if you store commuter bikes, e-bikes, kids’ bikes or a few family bikes in the same space.

Best for

  • Garages and sheds without a proper locking point
  • Bike rooms, carports and shared storage areas
  • E-bikes, cargo bikes and commuter bikes stored at home
  • Locking several bikes together with a long chain
  • Using with a strong chain, D-lock or folding lock as part of a home security setup

Good to know

The WBA60 needs to be installed into a suitable solid surface. Before fitting it, check the wall or floor material and make sure the anchor location gives you enough room to pass your lock through the bike frame.

For best security, position the anchor so the lock can secure the main frame triangle or another strong part of the bike. Avoid setups where the lock only captures a wheel, rack or easily removable part.

For high-value bikes, e-bikes or cargo bikes, use a strong lock with the anchor. A heavy chain is often the easiest match because it gives good reach around the frame and anchor, especially if you are locking more than one bike.

Final word

The ABUS WBA60 Wall / Floor Anchor is a practical way to improve bike storage security at home. Choose it when you need a proper fixed locking point in a garage, shed, bike room or carport, then pair it with a strong lock that suits the value of the bike.
