Setup options

Space Frame add-on: The compatible Basil Buddy Space Frame is sold separately. It is a wire dome that fits over the basket to help stop your dog from standing up, climbing out, or jumping from the basket.

Dog size and weight rating

This basket is for small dogs up to 15 kg. Do not choose the basket by weight alone. Your dog also needs enough room to sit or lie down comfortably without being cramped.

The bike’s rear carrier must be rated for the full load. That means the combined weight of the dog, basket, cushion, safety strap and any accessories must sit within the carrier’s limit. If the carrier is not rated for the load, the setup is not suitable.

The Basil Buddy Space Frame does not increase the basket’s weight limit. It helps contain your dog, but the basket, MIK connection and carrier still need to be suitable for the dog’s size and weight.
