Basil Pasja Dog Basket

The Basil Pasja Dog Basket is a removable wicker basket for carrying a small dog by bike. It gives your dog a comfortable place to sit, with a washable cushion included and a classic hand-braided wicker finish.

This MIK version is made to click on and off a compatible rear luggage carrier or front carrier using the pre-assembled MIK Adapter Plate. That makes it much easier to remove the basket when you are not carrying your dog, or when you want to take the basket inside with you.

Setup options

MIK carrier: If your bike already has integrated MIK profiles on the carrier, the basket can click directly into place using the included MIK Adapter Plate.

Standard carrier: If your carrier does not have integrated MIK profiles, you will need a MIK Carrier Plate. This is sold separately.

Extra containment: The Basil Pasja Space Frame is available separately. It is a wire dome that fits over the basket to help stop your dog from standing up, climbing out, or jumping from the basket.

Dog size and carrier rating

The Basil Pasja is made for small dogs. Do not choose the basket based on dog weight alone. Your dog also needs enough room to sit or lie down comfortably without being cramped.

The basket should only be used up to its stated carrying limit, and the bike’s carrier must also be rated for the combined weight of the dog, basket, cushion and any accessories. If the carrier is not rated for that load, the setup is not suitable.

The Basil Pasja Space Frame does not increase the weight limit. It helps contain your dog, but the basket and carrier still need to be suitable for the dog’s size and weight.
