Where a normal road bike can feel nervous and harsh once the surface gets broken, the Midnight Special settles in. The steel frame, larger volume tyres and endurance-focused geometry give it a confident, comfortable feel without turning it into a slow touring bike.
It is also properly practical. Rack and fender mounts mean it can be set up for commuting, wet-weather riding or light touring, while clearance for up to 700c x 42mm tyres without guards gives you room to tune the bike for more comfort or more gravel capability later.
