Collections: Gravel & Adventure Bikes, Surly Bikes
The Surly Ogre is the bike for people who want one ride to do it all—and then go a little further. Built around 29" wheels, a burly chromoly steel frame, and every mounting point imaginable, the Ogre is your multi-tool for pavement, gravel, forest trails, and fully loaded dirt adventures.
With the heart of a commuter and the guts of a backcountry hauler, it handles everyday city riding just as well as those “I wonder where this goes?” moments. This thing doesn’t just carry gear—it carries possibility.

The Ogre isn’t trendy. It’s timeless. With Surly’s Gnot-Boost dropout system, steel-is-real ride quality, and a geometry that says “yes” more than it says “no,” the Ogre is one of the most adaptable bikes you’ll ever meet. Want to run a 1x drivetrain? Go for it. Prefer a Rohloff with discs and a trailer? Done. Feeling spicy about a Jones bar setup and 2.5” tyres? It’s all on the table.
Go long. Go weird. Go wherever.
If your next ride has more questions than answers, the Surly Ogre is the bike you want underneath you.
Though we’re a bike shop that sells, builds and fixes bicycles, they’re really just the means to an end; albeit a beautifully designed means to an idyllic end. Our job most importantly is to encourage as many people as we can to get out and ride for transport and enjoyment. We'd love to make riding a bike as commonplace as your morning cup of coffee, which by the way is our other obsession.
Bicycle Junction is situated at 1 Marion St, Te Aro, Wellington.
