During Covid Alert Level 3 our workshop and online sales will be open but our physical store and Cafe will be closed. We recognise people need a sensible, healthy and safe means of transport and we want to balance this with maintaining social distancing measures to avoid a relapse into level 4 lockdown. The more we can do to help mitigate transmission the sooner we can open all sections of our business to the public again.

Here are some FAQ's to keep you up to date on how we are trading through alert level 3.

Is the Workshop open?

Yes, by appointment only. Appointments can be made by using our online booking form HERE.  The workshop will be open for all repairs. Repairs will not be conducted at our Marion St store, but instead at our off-site workshop where we can better maintain social distancing measures. You can find full details about our contactless workshop services and workshop bookings procedure HERE. We will not accept repair drop-offs without a prior appointment.

Is the shop open?

Our physical store at 1 Marion St will not be open to the public. No-one will be permitted to enter. It will however be fulfilling Click & Collect orders between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. See further details of this below.  Our store will re-open when the Alert level is reduced to L2.  If you are nearby and would like a tube or something not otherwise listed online, call us on 04 385 2362 to discuss your needs.

Is the cafe open?

No, the cafe will remain closed until L2.  Our cafe is not just a place to get a coffee fix or a sandwich. It's a social hub for people to meet or do business and be inspired by being surrounded by beautiful bikes in a community environment.  We would love to serve you coffee in a beautiful and social space.  That time will come again soon.

What if i want to buy something that is not listed online?

Email us at shop@bicyclejunction.co.nz any time or call us on 04 385 2362 between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday and we will assist you as best we can. We can take payments by bank transfer, by card over the phone or by PayWave at our contactless collection desk. If you need a tube, a tyre, a bike that's not listed or simply some expert advice, get in touch!

Can i collect items from your store?

Yes, if you purchase items online through our web-store or if you've ordered something by phone or email you can choose to collect from our collection window at 1 Marion St, Te Aro.

How do i collect items from your store?

We will set up a collection window on the street-front for any purchase you have made.  When you arrive, please call us on 04 385 2362 and state your name and the order you wish to collect.  We will place it on the collection window for you to take. If there is any money owing we will place the eftpos terminal for you to pay by PayWave.

If you are collecting a bike we will not be able to run through our usual set of  hand-over instructions in person. We ask instead that when you get home with your new bike you give us a call and we will run through all the relevant info about charging, unlocking the battery, maintenance and warranty etc over the phone.

Please understand we will simply place the bike outside, spray it with sanitiser and stand away so you can take your bike. We want to limit time discussing things in person and for that reason ask you to call us when home.

Can i take a test ride on a bike?

Yes, if it is important in making your final decision about which bike is right for you we can arrange a time for a test ride. We can also offer 24hr test rides of Cargo or Electric bikes for a $50 charge, delivered to your place of residence within the central city or near suburbs.

Get in touch if you would like to book either option. Better yet, just use our online test ride booking form HERE.

If your purchase is not urgent then lets just discuss all the options over the phone or by email and line up a series of test rides for when we reach level 2.

What hours are you open?

Our workshop will be repairing bikes between 7am to 5.30pm daily. Please make an appointment for drop-off as bikes will not be accepted without a prior booking. Please book HERE if you wish to make an appointment for the workshop.

Our shop will be open for collection of new bikes, parts and accessories from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.  Please buy online or by phone or email before coming to the store. We will not be able to come outside to discuss your needs, so if you need to talk to us and for the safety of our staff, please call.

Can you deliver to me?

Yes, we can deliver nationwide by courier and locally by bike. Just order online or get in touch by phone or email. Shipping is free for all products listed on our web store. There can be delivery costs for some items ordered that are not listed on our website.

We can also ship bikes fully assembled nationwide. Just unpack and ride away, no assembly necessary. This is a particularly good option for those of you who wish to remain isolated but would like a means of exercise.  Get in touch for pricing on fully assembled deliveries.
