The Carrie2

Compact dimensions, countless uses. The Riese & Müller Carrie2 is a cleverly designed compact cargo bike that delivers the largest possible loading area in a remarkably small footprint. Built for urban riders who need to move a lot without sacrificing maneuverability, it makes everyday transport feel simple and intuitive.

With a total length of just 209 cm and a slimline cargo box, the Carrie2 rides much like a normal bike. Tight corners, bike lanes, and city parking are all easy to navigate, while the powerful motor keeps the ride feeling light and agile even when fully loaded.

Flexibility is key. The innovative Flex Box adapts to your day, carrying a standard drinks crate when folded down, or up to three when extended. A zip-open front panel makes access easy for children or dogs, and a wide range of modular kits lets the Carrie2 shift seamlessly between family transport, pet hauling, or pure cargo duty.

Carrie2 model configurations

Carrie2 City

The Carrie2 City is set up for straightforward, everyday riding with minimal fuss. It uses a Shimano Nexus Inter-5E internal gear hub, which keeps everything sealed away from weather and grime and makes it a great low-maintenance option for daily commuting, school runs, and urban errands. Shifting is simple and intuitive, and the chain drive keeps servicing familiar and affordable. This is the go-to choice if you want reliability, ease of use, and a traditional feel with modern cargo capability.

Carrie2 Vario

The Carrie2 Vario is built for riders who want smooth, stepless shifting and even lower maintenance. The Enviolo Heavy Duty hub allows you to change gear ratios continuously, so there are no defined steps between gears. Paired with a Gates CDX belt drive, it runs quietly, cleanly, and requires very little upkeep over time. This setup shines when the bike is heavily loaded, ridden daily, or shared between riders, as gear changes are effortless and intuitive.

Carrie2 Automatic

The Carrie2 Automatic takes ease of use one step further. It uses the same Enviolo Heavy Duty hub and Gates CDX belt drive as the Vario, but adds automatic shifting that adjusts gears for you based on speed and cadence. You simply pedal and steer, while the bike handles the rest. This configuration is ideal for families, shared bikes, or riders who want the smoothest possible experience without thinking about gear changes at all.
