The Multicharger3
A car replacement that still rides like a bike. The Riese & Müller Multicharger3 is a longtail cargo e-bike built for everyday transport and spontaneous adventure. School runs, grocery missions, weekend escapes, or hauling gear out of town — it handles it all without feeling bulky or unwieldy.
Powered by the Bosch Cargo Line motor, the Multicharger3 delivers confident, controlled assistance even when fully loaded. The long rear rack can carry up to 65 kg, while the standard cargo front carrier adds even more usable space. Despite its carrying capacity, it remains agile and familiar to ride, much closer to a standard e-bike than a traditional cargo bike.
Available in both a classic diamond frame and the Multicharger3 Mixte with a lowered top tube, there’s an option to suit different riders, loads, and comfort preferences.
Built to carry people, gear, and everyday life
The Multicharger3 adapts easily to your needs thanks to a wide range of equipment kits. Carry up to two children, one larger passenger, or your luggage securely on the rear, with optional child seats, safety rails, and covers available. For longer rides or hilly routes, the optional Bosch PowerMore 250 Wh add-on battery extends your range without compromising handling.
Safety is built in. A spoke guard protects smaller passengers, optional Bosch eBike ABS improves braking control, and powerful lighting with main beam, dipped beam, and brake light keeps you visible in all conditions. A suspension seatpost smooths out rough roads so comfort stays high even when fully loaded.
The Multicharger3 Mixte
The Multicharger3 Mixte offers the same carrying capability and performance with a lowered top tube for easier mounting and dismounting. It’s a great option for riders frequently getting on and off the bike, sharing between riders, or managing loads and children in busy urban settings.

Step 1: Build your ideal Multicharger3 using the Riese & Müller configurator (choose frame style, drivetrain, battery size, and equipment kits).
Step 2: Copy the configuration code once you’ve finished.
Step 3: Send the code to us — whether you’re just enquiring or ready to place an order.
Pricing and shipping
All prices shown on the configurator are in NZD and include sea freight shipping. Typical lead time is 3–6 months.
Make sure the location is set to New Zealand. Air freight is available for faster delivery on most models but isn’t included in the configurator price – ask us about express shipping when you get in touch.
